Let's make a pink dipping sauce for veggie sticks, chips, wings or to spread on a sandwich. The traditional Tzatziki recipe calls for greek plain yogurt, shredded cucumber, extra virgin olive oil, chopped garlic, dill, salt and pepper. Today I made it with what I had in the fridge: plain yogurt, and beets. I also have a toddler that wants everything pink! Feel free to add cucumber or switch the oregano for any herb that you have at home. You are going to notice that I used dried garlic instead of fresh garlic feel free to use either. Make sure that you use plain yogurt without added sugar.
Ingredients:
¼ shredded red beet (raw)
1 cup plain yogurt
a splash of lemon juice
Extra virgin olive oil
Dash of garlic powder
Dash of onion powder
Dash of dried oregano or dill
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Mix well all of the ingredients
