If you want to have a sweet treat without the guilt, this recipe is perfect for any day of the week. Best of all, you don't have to wait until the weekend for a cheat meal. The main ingredient is seed butter. I used sunflower seed butter, you can also use any kind of nut butter or a combination. For the chocolate I used half mini chocolate chips and half the regular size, this helps to get a unique texture, where the miniature chocolate chips will melt and the regular ones will stay smooth in every bite. After baking and tasting it, let me know how you like it and what kind of nut/seed butter you used.
Serves: depends if you want to share or not Prep time: 15 mins Cooking time about 20 mins Total time: 40 mins
Ingredients:
1 cup sunflower butter
1 egg
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp vanilla
¼ cup cocoa powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ tsp salt
½ cup mini + regular chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat the oven at 350
Prepare a baking dish with parchment paper or grease
In a mixing bowl mix all of the ingredients
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish
Bake for about 20 mins. Introduce a toothpick in the middle of the brownie. If the toothpick comes out clean or with a few crumbles it is done.
Tips:
When you buy seed or nut butters, read the ingredients list, try to buy the purest that you can find without additives such as sugar, syrups, oils and other weird things that do not add anything good to the butters.
